RAP Annual National Convention 2012
Dear Literacy Advocates, Fellow Educators and Teachers:
The Reading Association of the Philippines (RAP) is pleased to announce its Annual National Convention 2012 with the theme, “Literacy and the K-12 Curriculum”, to be held at the Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila, on August 9-11, 2012. It will be a gathering of reading teachers, professors, and specialists in Filipino and English, literacy advocates and researchers to be updated on trends in literacy instruction in the context of the new curriculum. The theme will focus on five related strands, namely: Early Literacy in the K-12 Curriculum; Content Literacy in the First and Second Languages; Technology Literacy in the K-12 Curriculum; Assessment of Reading in the K-12 Curriculum; and Implications of the K-12 Curriculum on Teacher Education and Development. In this connection, we invite you to participate in this timely event as our schools nationwide embark on a new basic education curriculum that responds to 21st century demands.
The registration fees are:
RAP Members/ Early Bird (before August 1, 2012) – Php 4,500.00
Non-RAP Members/ Walk-in Registrants – Php 5,000.00
