World Read Aloud is an international advocacy day, founded by LitWorld, and aims to highlight the importance of global literacy and promote reading aloud.
To celebrate, you can simply read aloud to someone – a child, family member, or even a pet! You can also explore free resources and activity ideas on the LitWorld website, such as printable bookmarks, reading lists, and tips for reading aloud.
Some other ways to participate include:
1. Hosting a “World Read Aloud Day Book Fest”: Invite friends and family to share their favorite books and stories.
2. Sharing photos on social media: Post pictures of yourself reading aloud and tag #WorldReadAloudDay.
3. Becoming a Volunteer Reader: Read aloud to animals at a local shelter or participate in other community reading programs.
Remember, every day can be a day to celebrate reading aloud and promote literacy!
